GOA TO HOLD BOLLYWOOD FILM FESTIVAL - increase of visitor numbers predicted

It has been announced that Goa will be the permanent venue for the annual Bollywood Film Festival, as from the autumn 2005.

As Bollywood film industry is the biggest of its kind in the world, and as Bollywood Films have become increasingly mainstream and popular also in the west, this will bring the world's attention and increasing visitor numbers to Goa, and will fuel the increase in property prices.

Indian government is also in the process of planning a permanent international conference center to be located in central Goa. As Colva properties will be located with an easy access to the airport and to the capital, it is anticipated that they will provide a great buy-to-let investment opportunity to satisfy the projected increase in demand for rental properties.

Goa is a growing Holiday destination. It is predicted that visitor numbers will increase by 250 000 - 500 000 in the next few years.
