11.What is the difference between North and South Goa?

North Goa is well established as a package holiday destination with numerous hotels and busy shopping lanes, colorful markets and sun lounge laden beaches, especially in the Calangute and Baga area. The beaches in the north tip of Goa, a taxi drive away, are more peaceful. Central and South Goa are quieter and less touristy, and one can find many long stretches of quiet beaches.

Property wise the central areas are still cheaper due to cheaper land prices, so for the price of a 2 bed roomed apartment in the north you may well find a 3 bedroom detached house in the South.
